CUSTOMER NOTICE: Boats only run to and from to Lakeside at weekends during the period 4th Jan 2016 - 29th Jan 2016. Trains will be available from Sat 13th February for one week only and then on full schedule from Friday 25th March 2016.

Lake Windermere provides the perfect scenic backdrop for a cruise.  The Lakes Aquarium shares its stunning location on the southern shore of Windermere with Windermere Lake Cruises and Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway.  Combined Aquarium and Cruise tickets offer great savings against individual tickets and make a perfect choice for a day out on and around Lake Windermere. 

Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway tickets are not currently available. The train is no longer running and has closed for the winter season. Only running special events see www.lakesiderailway.co.uk

NB:  Children aged under 5 years are free of charge on the train.  Children aged 3-5yrs will be charged admission to Lakes Aquarium ONLY payable on arrival.

Here are a few frequently asked questions which may help you plan your visit and decide which ticket option suits your visit:

1. What types of combined tickets are available?                                                             

A. Combined tickets are available for adult, child (aged 5 - 15 years) and family (2 adults and up to 3 children) in the following packages: 

Aquarium + return Haverthwaite - Lakeside train trip (or vice versa)

Aquarium + return cruise to Bowness - half length of the lake

Aquarium + return cruise to Waterhead (Ambleside) - full length of the lake

Aquarium + return train & return cruise to Bowness.  NB Not available to purchase on-line.

2. Where can I buy the tickets from?

 A. You can buy all combined ticket options from Lakes Aquarium reception on the day of travel.  You can also buy combined Aquarium + train from the ticket office at Haverthwaite Station.  You can buy Aquarium + cruise from any of the three pier ticket offices - Lakeside - Bowness or Waterhead (Ambleside).

3. Can I buy the tickets on-line?

A. Combined Aquarium + cruise tickets are available from www.windermere-lakecruises.co.uk

Prices are subject to change without prior notice:

  • Prices quoted are valid from Mar 28th March 2015

  • Children aged 3 - 5 years will be charged seperately for admission to Lakes Aquarium only when combined tickets have been purchased.

  • Tickets can be purchased from any of the pier ticket offices, at Haverthwaite station or the Aquarium reception

Lakes Aquarium is a fun, friendly all weather attraction situated at Lakeside, near Newby Bridge and the south end of Lake Windermere.
